Moutaz Haddara - Digital Business Systems

Who are you and what do you like most about your job?

My name is Moutaz Haddara and I am an Associate Professor of Information Systems at Westerdals since 2014, with teaching experience that spans almost 20 years. I have a Master of Science degree in Query Optimization techniques in Data Warehouses and a PhD in Information Systems from University of Agder in Enterprise Resource Planning Systems.

My research work covers several areas including Enterprise Systems, IoT, Cloud Computing and Big Data Analytics. As the academic connection to the industry is critical, I hold a position as an Advisory Board member for Microsoft’s Dynamics Academic Alliance program. I have also worked as a consultant for several institutions, NGOs, governments, and the European Union.

What I like about my job is witnessing our graduates landing jobs in reputable companies and boost their careers, which in turn shows how relevant are our programs to the industry.
