Background

In a time when the majority of people report spending too much time on digital technology, questions about mindfulness, digital detoxes, and society’s responsibility to facilitate disconnection have become increasingly pressing. At the same time, tech giants continue to expand their power, raising debates about where the line lies between genuine concerns and moral panic.

How do we balance the desire to disconnect with the necessity of using media technology? And what political, cultural, and personal actions are required to address these challenges?

We look forward to a morning of insightful discussions, critical perspectives, and vibrant dialogue on the digital backlash and its many paradoxes.

Welcome!
