Jannicke Johansen is an associate professor at the Westerdals Institute for Creativity, Storytelling, and Design within the School of Arts, Design, and Media at Kristiania University College. She has a background in design, architecture, and film, having worked in Norway, Denmark, Mexico, South Africa, and Spain. Simultaneously, she holds a master’s degree in Innovation and Leadership. Her specific interests lie in social sustainability, entrepreneurship, and user-centered innovation. She focuses on identifying social value and exploring how placemaking, art and design can contribute to building a society based on trust, security, and belonging. Through research and artistic development work, she seeks a more human-oriented approach to creativity, experience, innovation, and technology.
