Background
Rune Obrestad is Assistant Professor in Film and TV production at Westerdal's Department of Film and Media, Kristiania.
Obrestad has worked in the TV industry since 1995 and has produced TV series in various roles such as Producer, Director, Photographer, Scriptwriter and Editor. For 15 years he has run his own production company, for which he was both general manager and creative producer. Obrestad has mainly produced documentaries and entertainment series for NRK, TV2 and TVNorge, but has also made drama, educational films, informational films, advertising and web series.
Obrestad has a TV directing degree from Lillehammer University College, and also has a 5-year assistant teaching degree from Volda and Bergen.
