Background

Mari Svendsen is Associate Professor at the Department of Leadership and Organization (SCLM) at KUC. Her research areas cover leadership, organizational behaviour, voice behaviour and work inclusion.

She holds a PhD in Work and Organizational Psychology (2015) from Aarhus University/Amsterdam Business School, and a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Aarhus University, Denmark. Prior to present career she developed and implemented a health promoting leadership development programme for private and public leaders, facilitated numbers of workshops on work inclusion, sick leave and health promoting work environments.

She has experience with practical work inclusion initiatives, organizational development, leadership development and personal development in private and public organizations.

Moreover, she has been in an advisory board in the directorate of labour and welfare, as an expert on leader group development and has experience as a clinical psychologist. Svendsen has acted on committees for accreditation of research fellows, including Post. doc. and acted on one PhD committee in Denmark.

She has also led different research projects, and is reviewer in different international journals. She has supervisor experience at master and PhD level and is member of an international network on organizational participation in Europe (OPEN), as well as different research groups within the topic of work inclusion.
