Get to know Fjerdingen library
Fjerdingen is Kristiania's library in Chr. Krohgs gate 32, 2nd floor. The library's collection is mainly aimed at the creative subjects at Kristiania.
About the collection
The library's collection at Fjerdingen largely follows the Dewey number system sorted by numbers from 0 to 900
The exceptions are the Film Collection, Stage Texts, Plays in Book Form, Comics, TV and Film Scripts and the sample collection of fictional works. These have their own system for shelf signatures, such as AMB for Ambjørnsen.
Film collection: Fjerdingen has a large film collection with DVD and Blue-ray films that can be borrowed to take home. Portable players can be borrowed at the counter during staffed opening hours. The film collection is sorted by title.
Stage texts: Sorted by author.
Plays in book form: Includes some monologues and anthologies. Stands just to the right of Stage Texts, together with publications from the Text & Writer line. Sorted by author.
TV and film scripts: Stands together with Acting in book form. Sorted by author.
Comics: Stands together with the example collection. We also have a small collection of poems on the same shelf. Sorted by author
