Digital transcript of grades

Students can order a transcript of grades with a digital signature in Studentweb under "Orders" in the top menu. The transcript will be available under "Documents" after about 10 minutes.

The transcript is verified with a digital signature that is only confirmed if the PDF has not been altered by others. It is not valid if you print the transcript on paper. The digital signature is only valid for two years after the order date. Students who want a paper transcript of grades, either in English or Norwegian, must contact the nearest reception or the study administration to obtain a transcript of grades.

The transcript verifies the results achieved at Kristiania during the course of study and should not be confused with the diploma that you receive when you have obtained a degree.

Using the the Diploma Portal, you can retrieve your results from higher education and share them with other relevant parties.

Digital diploma in Vitnemålsportalen

Kristiania issues digital diplomas that are available via the Diploma Portal (Vitnemålsportalen). A digital diploma is the same as a paper diploma, except that the format is a digital PDF that is electronically signed by Sikt - the Knowledge Sector's service provider. It is a national and verified sector solution for sharing diplomas in higher education.

Using the Diploma Portal, students can retrieve their results from higher education and share them with other educational institutions, potential employers and other relevant parties. The service is free of charge.

Step by step - description for sharing results

Log in via FEIDE or ID-porten with MinID or BankID.

Request a diploma on paper

All students who have obtained a degree/qualification after the spring semester 2021 will receive a digital diploma.

Kristiania issues paper diplomas in special cases. Some students may need a paper diploma and Diploma Supplement. This may apply to students who are applying for further education in countries that have not digitized the admission process. Students who want their diploma on paper must request this via the paper diploma request form (processing time around 3 weeks).

Diplomas that have been requested will be sent by post to the address stated on the form. Please note that in some periods, processing time may be slightly longer and that the postal service takes time.

It costs NOK 1,000 to order a physical diploma on paper. If you are a student at Fagskolen, you do not pay for ordering a physical diploma on paper.

If you order a diploma without having obtained a degree, the order will not be processed.

Deferral of Diploma

Diplomas are automatically issued upon completion of a study program or degree. If you want to improve the results that constitute part of a degree, and you want the improved results on your diploma, you can defer the production of your diploma until the new results are published.

If you appeal a grade and wish to await the appeal outcome, you must still request the deferral within the deadline. You can withdraw the deferral of the diploma after the appeal result is available.

If you improve grades after the diploma has been produced, you will not receive a new diploma. Improved results can then be documented with a transcript of grades.

The deadline to submit a deferral request or to withdraw a deferral request is June 9th: Deferral of Diploma

Diplomas and transcripts before 2015

If you have studied at Kristiania University College or any schools that subsequently became part of Kristiania University College before 2015 and are seeking documentation of previous exam results, you must apply for this on a  seperate form [OBS: form is still in Norwegian]. Please note that it may take up to 4 weeks to process your application.

Appeals against grades
Appeals against grading will have a reservation against the completion of diplomas until a new grading is available.

Loss of paper diplomas - duplicate

Students who have lost the original paper copy of their diploma from Kristiania may apply for a duplicate to be issued. This application must be documented and sent by e-mail to the examination department.

To obtain a duplicate, the original diploma must be lost for good. Documentation can be a police report, certificate from an insurance company in case of theft or fire, any remains of the original diploma if it has been destroyed.

In cases where it is no longer technically or practically possible to produce a duplicate, Kristiania will issue a confirmation of achievement with a transcript of records. This assumes that we have sufficient documented information to do this.

The cost of producing a duplicate and confirmation is set at NOK 1000. The student will be invoiced after the application has been approved and the documentation has been sent. Each page of the duplicate documentation is stamped in red; DUPLICATE.

Duplicate diplomas are ordered by completing the form «Loss of diploma – application for a new one». [OBS: content is at the moment in Norwegian].
