Common errors

  • In Feide, you only have to write your username. Do not include “@egms.no”. 

Instructions – forgotten password

For forgotten passwords, you must have access to a mobile phone to receive a one-time code. 

  • Go to the user administration page.
  • Enter your username.
  • You will receive a one-time code by text message. Enter it in the text field and proceed.
    • If you receive an error message or did not receive the text message: Log in to Studentweb with your national identification number and PIN code and ensure you have registered the correct phone number.
    • Once you have changed your phone number, you can use the forgot password service again.
    • If your phone number is already correct, contact the Service Centre.
  • Enter your new password twice. Make sure you follow the password requirements on the page.
  • If the new password is not approved, check that it meets all the requirements. If it is still not approved, contact the Service Centre.

Instructions – change password

  1. Go to the user administration page.
  2. Enter your user login and password
  3. Select “Change password” in the menu.
  4. Enter your current password and then a new password twice.
    • Remember to follow all the password requirements listed at the top of the page.
  5. Click “Change password”.
    • If you receive an error message, first check that you have followed all the requirements. Then try to re-enter the new password in case you made a mistake. If you still receive an error message, please contact the Service Centre.
