One Breath - One Sea
- Project period: 2025 - 2028
- Categories: Applied Research, Basic Research, Norwegian Artistic Research
Description
The novelty of the project lies in the execution of new ways to convey and visualize environmental issues and the human impact on our surroundings.
The project is an interdisciplinary collaboration between artists, marine biologists, psychologists and development of new technology.
OB seeks to find an embodied phenomenologically connected interactive way for the audience to have a hands-on emotional experience of the devastation that we have created. We will use research, technology and unique footage to show how the underwater world has changed due to human presence. A part of the research is to test what is possible to get life back to the fjord.
One Breath – One Sea (OB) contains several projects that are meant to become a cohesive unit.
We aspire to become a larger exhibition where all the elements complement each other. There are films, an interactive experience, the effect environmental issues have on human psychological wellbeing, and presenting our common research.
Together we have a goal to see how (or if) life can change when taking actions. However, each of these will and can exist independently with its own distribution. For the project the main objectives are to explore the methods, technology and aesthetic implications of the different research questions.
Together we aim to find or see if there are any solutions that can improve the condition of the Oslofjord.
