Public Health/Exercise- EPA2100, Exercise Physiology and Anatomy, (15 ECTS)
- This 15-credit elective course delves into the practical applications of human physiology and anatomy, focusing on areas related to health, disease, exercise, and performance to enhance function and well-being. The course aims to equip students with research-based knowledge and practical skills in exercise physiology and measurement techniques. Students will explore how the body responds to physical stress, the physiological processes involved in different types of activities, and the factors that limit work capacity. Through hands-on learning, students will gain expertise in calibration, protocol implementation, and interpreting results from field and laboratory tests in exercise physiology, with a dual focus on health and performance. No specialized prior knowledge is required, but a basic understanding of human physiology and anatomy would be advantageous.

Media Art Innovation Lab
Introduction
For the Spring 2025 semester, the Westerdals Institute of Film and Media (WIFM) will run the exciting new collaborative semester ‘Media Art Innovation Lab’ (22,5ECTS). It brings together students from all six study programmes at WIFM in interdisciplinary and innovative collaboration. This semester acts as a laboratory for innovation, new ways of thinking, and collaborative methods, allowing students to explore innovative, creative, and experimental approaches in the field of media art, in a time when new technologies are radically changing the industry. Combined with the course ‘Intro to Media Art Innovation Lab’ (7,5 ECTS), an introductory course on methods essential for interdisciplinary teamwork, students will get a full hands-on experience close to the industry they will be working with. Join us and turn your creativity into innovative productions, collaborating with students from various disciplines to shape the future of media art!

‘Media Art Innovation Lab’ - MAIL (22,5ECTS) functions as a laboratory for innovation, where students from diverse academic backgrounds come together to experiment with new ideas and challenge conventional thinking in media art. MAIL is designed for students who want to be active participants in the creative process. You will work in teams to plan, develop, and produce media projects that not only showcase artistic innovation but also respond to social issues of our time. In addition, you will also engage with important topics such as sustainability, diversity, and inclusion—essential values for today’s media landscape. The course will empower students to harness their own expertise in interdisciplinary group productions, to gain hands-on experience in problem-solving, and contribute to forward-thinking media projects. If you are ready to push boundaries and explore new audiovisual formats, Media Art Innovation Lab is the perfect place to start!
Prerequisites: This course is designed for students with backgrounds and interests in the large field of media art, film, tv, scriptwriting, animation, sound design, VFX, 3D graphics, game design, audiovisual production, storytelling and communication. The only prerequisite is the completion of the introductory course ‘Intro to Media Art Innovation Lab’. We welcome all students eager to work collaboratively and contribute to creative and innovative projects across various media fields

Students will explore how different disciplines can merge to cooperate in shaping fresh ideas and bringing them to life!
