Unfortunately, we’re not offering an exchange for Film & TV, VFX, Game Design, 3D animation, or Scriptwriting, this coming fall, but the receiving exchange semester has been moved to spring 2025. The Westerdals Institute of Film and Media (WIFM) will run the exciting new collaborative semester Media Art Innovation Lab — MAIL (22,5ECTS), which brings together students from all six study programmes at WIFM in interdisciplinary and innovative collaboration. This semester acts as a laboratory for innovation, new ways of thinking, and collaborative methods, allowing students to explore innovative, creative, and experimental approaches in the field of media art, in a time when new technologies are radically changing the industry. Combined with Intro to MAIL (7,5 ECTS), an introductory course on methods essential for interdisciplinary teamwork, the students will get a full hands-on experience close to the industry they will be working with. More information will follow when the spring semester intake opens in August. In the meantime, you can watch this video from the IMPACT workshop, a 48-hour jam on collaborative storyworld building that took place in February 2024.
