Introduction
The work on this topic will help give the student experience and training in playing instruments, singing, recognizing and rendering intervals and rhythms, ensemble performance and live electronics. It will strengthen the knowledge and reflection on the use of musical instruments, as well as the ability to perform their own material alone or in an ensemble.

Learning activities
Teaching is provided through supervision, group work, ensemble practice, workshops, lectures and structured tasks. A significant part of the course's workload is constituted by the student's own practice. Tteaching and guidance is distributed between instrument and vocals, ensemble practice and live electronics and lecture and workshops.

Exam part 1: Individual performing examination (can be conducted in gropus)
Duration: 25-30 minutes
Grading scale: The Norwegian grading system uses the graded scale A - F, where A is the best grade, E is the lowest pass grade and F is fail.
Weighting: 80 % of the overall grade
Support materials: No support materials are allowed
Exam part 2: Individual written examination under supervision (ear training)

Comments
The course will be a resource for further practice and specialization in the songwriting courses, production courses and instrument courses at LOP. It is recommended that the student have basic skills in one or more instruments.
