Introduction
The work on Songwriting 5 - Music for Other Media - will help give the student experience in creating music for other media, including movies, TV and games. It will strengthen the knowledge and reflection on the use of music as a complementary artistic expression, where the music acts as one of several elements in a larger production. The course is process-oriented and emphasizes the creative aspects.

Knowledge

- has broad knowledge of creating music for media, both score and songwriting as well as issues related to this
- has knowledge of expectations related to production quality, as well as knowledge of different types of tools you may use, such as software and web resources
- has knowledge of narrative strategies, arranging, instrumentation, motif, sound, texture, track, beat, melody, harmonics, rhythmics, dynamics and musical dramaturgy
- has knowledge of different forms of collaboration that are used in the field of film, TV and game music scoring

- can create and develop musical content for different formats and stylistic expressions through active use of music technology and orchestration/instrumentation for different types of ensembles
- can write and produce music and display the result as an audio production

Learning activities
A significant part of the course's workload consists of the student's development of new material, as well as surveys of various cases.
The course is taught through lectures, structured assignments, supervision, group work and workshops. And, the performance and evaluation of the student's work, where also fellow students participate and are trained in practical evaluation work.
