Introduction
The student gains deep knowledge and understanding of the creative industries, with particular emphasis on interactions between industry, art, and culture. The course work gives the student an understanding of the distinctive features of these industries, and of the interactions and interdependencies between the creative industries. The course will also give the student an overview of project management opportunities within the various creative industries, and it will help the student build a theoretical and practical foundation to be able to plan, manage and facilitate cultural and economic value creation.

- has broad knowledge of the creative industries in Norway, and basic knowledge of developments in the creative industries both nationally and internationally
- is informed about research and development (R&D) work on cultural and economic value creation within the creative industries
- has insight into different forms of project organization within the various creative industries

Learning activities
Learning will be supported in the forms of lectures, industry visits and case assignments. Discussions based on industry visits, lectures and the syllabus will give the student the opportunity for active learning and strengthen the student's level of reflection.

Participation in teaching and guidance - 72 hours
Self-studies - 200 hours
Case-work - 80 hours
Execution and preparation for the exam - 48 hours
Recommended use of time in total - 400 hours

Exam part: Individual written home examination
Duration: 72 hours

Re-sit exam: 72-hour individual written home examination with a new assignment
