Introduction
This course is designed to give the student knowledge and skills in the planning, production, publishing and critical judgment of works of editorial communication and journalism in and between various genres and for different media, channels and platforms. The central element is narratively based journalism that uses text, sound, images and illustrations. The course also gives understanding of and experience with strategic and practical work related to innovation and creativity within broadcast journalism and editorial contexts. The student will gain insight into relevant and actual problems and ethical challenges pertaining to journalism and editorial communication.

- has knowledge of editorial channels and platforms, as well as production processes and publication of content in different media.
- has awareness of, and be able to asses, the public role and responsibilities of the media and the laws and ethical guidelines pertaining to freedom of speech and publication in the public sphere.

- has an understanding of, and be able to discuss, the various forms and genres of different media within narrative journalism that is based on text, sound, image and illustration.

Learning activities
The course is both practical and theoretical in orientation, primarily based around project work in close collaboration with external commissioners, tuition and presentations. The course also involves lectures and self study.
