The student gains experience with their trade through the professional or theoretical specialisation in one or more of the study programme's core areas. The student can choose to complete their Bachelor dissertation either as a practical project or as a theoretical study.

The Bachelor dissertation can be a project completed individually or as a group, it can also be completed in collaboration with a corporation, though with a self-defined topic question. Through their professional project work in digital marketing, the student should demonstrate broad knowledge about central topics and theories, as well as methodological, technological and tool-based skills. If the student chooses the project approach, the Bachelor dissertation must include both a practical and a theoretical part. The final dissertation must document special expertise and broad knowledge, along with originality, within the domain of digial marketing.
