Full studies progression.

Students can apply for an internship placement on the basis of the following criteria:

Motivation letter and CV
Interview with the course coordinator
Grades achieved so far in his/her studies

The internship studies are carried out over a total of 11-12 weeks:

Week 0: Meeting with the company. Week 1: Introduction lectures ¿ joint themes. Start-up seminar with students and tutors. Define the learning aims and specialization theme in the Learning Contract for Internship Studies, 15 ECTS (Appendix 2).

Weeks 2-9: The period of internship in the company.

Weeks 10-12: Summary lecture ¿ joint themes.Preparation and submission of the Internship Assignment.

Teaching, supervision and follow-up:

The student The student has considerable responsibility for their own learning. It is important that the student works with his/her own learning aims and learning processes. Emphasis is given to the student¿s ability to reflect on their own learning through practical training. The student will share and re-work their experiences jointly and individually, and exploit the opportunity of internship learning as well as independent learning.

The college Joint lectures will be given at the college as well as individual and group counselling.

The course coordinator will monitor the students, coordinate with the internship company, and teach joint themes.

The student will be allocated an academic supervisor by the college. The academic supervisor will supervise work with the specialization theme, assignment question and reading list.

Guidance will be organized by the course coordinator and academic supervisor and consists of the following:

3 group tutorials x 3 hours during the period
6 hours supervision of the approved authorized specialization theme for the internship assignment which will be submitted.

The company The student's immediate superior, or another specific colleague, in the company will serve as a supervisor for the student during their internship in the company. The supervisor will focus on professional practices and will implement the following:

Attend the start-up seminar together with the student and the academic supervisor in order to define learning aims and the specialization theme
Make sure the student takes part in the daily operations of the company, and its tasks and meetings
Follow up and guide the student with respect to the tasks which he/she will carry out which should be similar to those carried out by employees
Conduct two counselling interviews / development discussions, using a separate internship form for this purpose
Write the final report and conduct the final discussion with the student.

Justified absences must be documented. The employer and the course coordinator must be notified of any absence from the workplace. They will register the absence in the protocol.

A medical certificate must be submitted in the event of more than three days continuous absence.

The internship will not be approved if the total absence exceeds 20%.

The assessment will be carried out by the course coordinator and the academic supervisor.
