Each session has a theme that is highlighted, discussed and reflected on from several angles. The sessions provide theoretical and empirical knowledge and replenishment, new perspectives, and space is given to reflect on one's own professional development along the way.

Lectures and teamwork

Teamwork is at the heart of all work in this course. This is to create the best possible dynamics and development along the way. In the groups, students discuss their own experiences with different theoretical perspectives. This provides applied understanding and insight into how theoretical and methodological knowledge can strengthen management, teamwork and processes in a working environment.

At all meetings, lectures, guest speakers and presentations are the starting point for discussions. The students must present parts of the curriculum literature and some of the group assignments in plenary, as a starting point for discussions and reflections in groups and plenary. This helps to increase knowledge and competence, because the students train their professional outlook and reflections by presenting specialist literature and their own works. The curriculum literature must therefore be read and worked through in the groups before the meetings.

Semester assignment

The semester assignment is written in groups of 2-4 students. The students themselves define an academically relevant in-depth topic and problem for the project assignment, which is approved by the course supervisor. This is an independent, limited research project under supervision. It gives the students general competence in conveying professional insight based on their own data and experiences, as well as mastering the field's terminology. The students also make a short film about the topic they are writing about, which is presented in plenary at the last assembly.

The course includes an introduction to qualitative method. The work gives the students skills in applying relevant methods to plan the collection of data, and theories to analyze current and relevant issues in line with current research ethics norms.

Guidance

Each assignment (group) is entitled to two hours of guidance on the semester assignment. No guidance is given in the last week before submission.

Students have 6 months to complete the course.
