can explain and justify the choice of osteopathic treatment approaches and treatment techniques
can explain putative mechanisms of osteopathic treatment approaches and manual therapy techniques
describe and follow the content of the Guidelines for Supervised Practice

Knowledge

can apply knowledge of osteopathic theories, principles and models in patient management
can identify and analyze the patient's current problem, perform a case history and a complete physical examination and decide whether there is need for further examination or other therapy, either in combination with or in advance of osteopathic treatment
can perform clinical medical, orthopedic and neurological clinical testing on patients
can plan and implement a osteopathic examination
can formulate a well-founded working hypothesis, estimating prognosis and implement an adequate managment plan that takes into account ethical considerations and lifestyle factors that affect patient health
masters a wide range of manual therapy techniques and adapt them to different patient populations and conditions
can demonstrate solid communication skills and professionalism related to the therapist role
can discuss ethical issues related to clinical practice with supervisor and fellow students
