have knowledge about the educational behaviour of pupils with linguistic and ethnic minority backgrounds, their educational choices, and later participation in the workforce, as well as what promotes and inhibits equal educational opportunities for pupils with linguistic and ethnic minority backgrounds, at both individual and societal levels
have knowledge about theoretical perspectives on mechanisms of exclusion from equal participation in education, society, and the workforce along ethnic lines, including racism and discrimination at individual and social levels
have knowledge about multilingualism and the role of multilingual training in the development, learning and identity processes of children and young people, and how these processes can be facilitated in training contexts
