- Prosjektperiode: 2025 - 2026
- Kategori: Anvendt forskning
Beskrivelse
- Technical knowledge on motion capture and virtual production. These are emerging technologies in film production that may have a major impact on how films are made.
- A new method for pre-production of films, including dance films based on this knowledge and based on motion capture and virtual production technologies
- A work of art in the form of a tap dance film that will show the potential of the new technology and knowledge and that utilizes the new possibilities that virtual production gives.
This project is about a method for pre-production of dance film, but also film in general, where motion capture technology and virtual production is used to plan the filming. Similar technologies have already been used for some time for the pre-production of major foreign films. The purpose of this project is to find a similar method that is so simple, effective and affordable that it can be used in a teaching context, but also in the Norwegian film industry where the budgets are not as large as on the large foreign productions.
Using this new methodology and using cutting edge technology, which is now spreading throughout the film industry, the project will produce an artistic work in the form of a dance film where motion capture and virtual production is used to make an exciting and innovative dance film based on tap dancing.
