Bakgrunn
Leila Ferguson er professor i pedagogikk ved Høyskolen Kristiania. Ferguson er også senior rådgiver på senter for pedagogisk utvikling og underviser i høyskolepedagogikk. Ferguson publiserer hovedsaklig innenfor fagfeltene pedagogisk psykologi og lærerutdanning.
Fergusons forskning har fokus på læreres oppfatninger og epistemologi, kritisk tenkning, evidensbasert praksis og underviseres forskning på egen praksis.
I 2015 mottok Ferguson H.M. Kongens gullmedalje for sitt doktorgradsarbeid på epistemiske oppfatninger og multippel tesktforståelse, ved Universitetet i Oslo.
